Hi All,
I am a recent college grad from a prestigeous public school in California: Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. You may have heard of it and wonder why a grad from there is poor. So many students enter college with the notion that they are guaranteed a job once they graduate, especially when the college tells you that all graduates graduate with job offers.
That was not true for me.
I graduated Cal Poly in June 2010 with a bachelors of science in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Administration.
I only had a temporary job offer. I took it and was out of work three months later when the position expired.
And I'm not alone. Most of my friends graduated without a job offer. So where does that leave us in this economy?
I may be poor but I've found the "system" has a lot of little loop holes designed to help poor people survive. I've been crafty in getting things and I will share my experiences here in hopes that you too will be able to live poorly.
